Who are The Metropolist?

The Metropolist harmonises the UK’s finest cultural listings with shrewdly curated, up-to-the-minute entertainment news for an urban-living, trend-conscious audience.

What they required

The Metropolist required a complex, mobile responsive news website with functionality to accommodate multiple authors, user sign up, a wide variety of content types including local listings, user generated content collection and run of site advertising capabilities.

What we did

We comprehensively advised on everything concerned with monetising The Metropolist’s new website, to ensure all planned functionality would closely align with the overall business objectives. Aside from a fully branded, mobile responsive site carrying 1000’s of articles we carefully crafted and fully customised a WordPress content management system where over 15 authors have appropriate privileges and access to the site. Furthermore users can add their own content for editor approval, a full advertising system accommodates display and affiliate adverts from some of the UK’s leading brands and we implemented a custom Google Search facility for maximum usability.
